GREENO2 Final Conference
GREENO2 Final Conference
Green Roofs for Education, Research & Urban Innovation + Student Contest Launch
How can we transform our cities starting from above?
On Friday, April 8, 2026 (2:00–5:00 PM), the University of Tuscia (UNITUS) will host the Final Conference of the GREENO2 project at its Aula Magna in Viterbo. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, GREENO2 explores how green roofs can become powerful tools for education, sustainability, and well-being in higher education and beyond.
This final event is more than a presentation of results: it is an opportunity to experience innovation, exchange ideas, and shape the future of sustainable campuses and cities.
What to expect:
- Presentation of the GREENO2 curriculum and training modules
- Insights from the project handbook and practical guides
- Access to the MOOC on EduOpen and UCA platforms
- Exploration of digital tools and AI-based solutions such as AI-PANC
- Interactive sessions where participants can share ideas and co-create future solutions
A key highlight of the event will be the launch of a Student Contest on Green Roofs, inviting students to propose innovative ideas to enhance biodiversity, climate resilience, and sustainability in urban environments.
The conference will also create synergies with initiatives such as RealUrbanGreen, URWAN, and Horti Urbis, contributing to the broader development of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and urban resilience strategies.
Who should attend? Students, researchers, academics, urban planners, environmental professionals, public authorities, and all those interested in sustainable urban transformation.
