GREENO2 PROJECT FEATURED ON LINEA VERDE ITALIA BROADCAST ON RAI 1
The results of the Erasmus+ GREENO2 Project were recently showcased on Linea Verde Italia, a popular television programme broadcast on Italy’s national channel Rai 1. The episode highlighted the University of Tuscia and the city of Viterbo, offering viewers a closer look at the University’s scientific research and ongoing initiatives.
Professor Andrea Colantoni, GREENO2 Project Coordinator and Associate Professor at the Department of Agriculture and Forest Sciences, University of Tuscia (Italy), presented the project during an interview on the show. He discussed the importance of active collaboration with project participants, students, academic staff, and university personnel in achieving the project’s goals.
One of the key highlights shared during the broadcast was a prototype of a green roof, developed by researchers at the Nello Lupori Educational and Experimental Farm of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo. This innovation is part of the broader efforts under GREENO2 to promote sustainable and environmentally conscious solutions in higher education institutions.

The GREENO2 Project – “Green Roofs in higher education institutions as sustainable cEnters for research, participation, ENvironmental consciousness and O2 generation” – aims to build a collaborative international network for the development and promotion of green infrastructure. Through shared educational programmes, technical research, and clear communication strategies, the project fosters a community dedicated to environmentally responsible urban development.
Linea Verde Italia, produced in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, Unioncamere, and Rai, focuses on the country’s natural resources and sustainability efforts. Each episode spotlights groundbreaking projects and initiatives, both national and international, that represent best practices and innovative approaches to creating a greener future.
