The information days of the international Erasmus+ Project GREENO2 – “Green Roofs in higher education institutions as sustainable cEnters for research, participation, ENvironmental consciousness and O2 generation” – were held at Ukraine’s largest HEI, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, during the university-wide autumn open days, KNU EXPO 2024, which is biggest Educational Exhibition at the University.
Project participants shared that its main goal is to promote the concept of green roofs in higher education institutions, transforming these areas into zones for research, education, and recreation. Erasmus+ GREENO2 illustrates an environmentally conscious approach to retaining heat during winter and reducing urban temperatures during summer in large cities.
Future enrollees and their parents, other visitors, students, and teaching staff from multiple faculties located across the University’s three campuses in different districts of Kyiv showed great interest in the Erasmus+ GREENO2 Project, which is being implemented by an international team and represented at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv by scholars from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism.
KNU EXPO is held twice a year to showcase the University’s educational and research opportunities. The event also highlights current international and interdisciplinary projects involving Ukraine’s leading University, aimed at enhancing the implementation of the sustainable development plan at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
