GREENO2 as a Sustainable and Perspective Erasmus+ Project was presented during the conference “Kick-Off and Monitoring of Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education” that took place October 29 – 30, 2024 in Rome.
The event was organized by the National Institute for Documentation, Innovation, Educational Research (INDIRE – National Erasmus+ Agency), Ministry of Education and Merit of Italy, Ministry of University and Research of Italy to discuss best practices and to share experience with new Erasmus+ Programme participants.
Presenting current project results Andrea Colantoni who is Associate Professor at the University of Tuscia, Department of Agriculture and Forest Sciences, and GREENO2 Project Coordinator focused also on the management methods of an Erasmus+ cooperation partnership and the experience of managing international partnership in a higher education sphere.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the Erasmus + Programme, in particular for spreading knowledge about environmental sustainability and combating climate change. Prof. Andrea Colantoni believes that the GREENO2 Project contributes to building an educational community and developing a network of academic staff and students focused on sustainable use and preservation of natural resources.
The GREENO2 Project – “Green Roofs in higher education institutions as sustainable cEnters for research, participation, ENvironmental consciousness and O2 generation” aims to promote the concept of green roofs as sustainable centers for research and reduction of energy demand with a consequent minimization of CO2 emissions. The project brought together 8 prestigious partners from 6 European countries such as: Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain and Ukraine. The project started on September 1, 2023 and will last for three years. The coordinator is the University of Tuscia.
